We had several people attend our 35th and 40th reunions
from other states, yet many locals and in-state classmates didn't show
up. It would have been good to have you with us. Please
attend our next one. The statement below sums it up well.
Life is like a roll of toilet paper.

end of the roll,

1967) Stanly News and Press, Letters to the Editor. snip.... As a member of the reunion committee, I have been the one to receive the responses from your classmates. Some of them are making a special effort to attend, perhaps even taking valuable vacation time to be here. Classmates from as far away as Florida, Alabama and Ohio to mention a few. In their notes they mention that they are so looking forward to coming "home" and seeing "everyone" again. Unfortunately, many classmates who live in and around the Albemarle area have yet to commit to attend. You chose to live here, work here and raise your family here. Some of your classmates did not or could not. They want to see you, talk to you, re-connect with their past. Please do not disappoint them. If you cannot come, I understand. If you have not decided, please think it over and make plans to attend. I think it is more important than ever. You might even have fun. |

I've been collecting music from our high school days (and earlier). Right now I have over 8,000 songs cataloged, with quite a few more to go. There are many duplicates but there's still a lot of music here. If you have a favorite, I can send you a copy of it. |
